The City of Birmingham is trying to help strengthen small businesses and encourage new ones.
Birmingham's city council is holding its annual "Small Business Economic Development Summit" today. Doors open at 4:00 this afternoon.
A networking reception starts at 5:00 p.m. and the actual summit is from 6:00 p.m to 9:30 p.m. It will be held in the north exhibition hall of the BJCC.
Admission is free and open to everyone. No registration fee is required.
