Troopers continue the holiday blitz

For the second weekend in a row, Alabama state troopers will be out in force. Their focus will be on drunk and reckless driving.

Troopers think their Christmas holiday blitz worked. The number of traffic deaths was down this year. The Department of Public Safety says state troopers investigated two traffic fatalities between Friday afternoon and midnight Monday night.

Last year, five deaths were reported during the 78 hour holiday travel period.
