Hoover police searching for home invasion suspects

HOOVER, AL (WBRC) – Police in Hoover are searching for suspects in connection to a home invasion that happened Wednesday night.

Captain Jim Coker with the Hoover Police Department says it happened around 11:00 p.m. at apartments in the 2800 block of Regal Circle.

According to Coker, the suspects forced themselves into an apartment during a power outage at the complex. When a resident came out to check on the situation, one of the suspects held the victim at gunpoint.

Officers say electronics were primarily stolen, but one of the victims had a truck stolen. The truck was found burned out in Wylam on Thursday morning.

The victims, 3 adults, were not injured but they were tied up. Two children were present, but were not tied up.

The suspects were wearing dark masks and clothes at the time.
