Man arrested in Leeds murder

LEEDS, AL (WBRC) - A man was arrested Friday in connection with a murder in Leeds.

Leeds Police, in a statement Friday afternoon to FOX6 News, said Lowan Maurice Cosper, 42, of Leeds, was arrested Friday morning with help from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.

Cosper was charged with capital murder in the death of Shaun Rose, who died March 23.

Investigators said Cosper's apartment in the Cedar Grove Apartments was searched after the arrest, where evidence was seized.

Police said more arrests may follow.

Cosper was being held Friday afternoon in the Jefferson County jail.
