Hard drives seized from John Rogers

By Ashley Nix

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Computer hard drives belonging to Rep. John Rogers were seized Monday from his office at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Rogers confirmed the seizure to FOX6 News Wednesday morning. He said 12 hard drives were taken from his office by UAB technicians, but did not know why.

"I don't know what it's about," Rogers said. "I don't have the slightest idea."

UAB refused to comment on the situation.

FBI spokesman Paul Daymond refused to confirm or deny whether the FBI was conducting an investigation into Rogers.

Calls by FOX6 News to Rogers' attorney, Doug Jones, were not immediately returned.
